About the Fund

Get your idea funded - tell us what you want to see in your community!

The Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund for Adults (funded by the Scottish Government) and UDECIDE (funded by Community Planning Aberdeen and the Fairer Aberdeen Fund) are working together to create a Co-Lab – a collaborative space where people living in Priority Neighbourhood  areas decide which ideas are funded.

This is community commissioning in action: you know what matters most in your area. This process gives residents, local groups, and organisations the chance to shape ideas and lead decisions on how funding is allocated. With support from one or both funders, these ideas can become reality!

As long as you are based within one of the priority neighbourhoods and your idea meets the criteria you can submit your idea for anything that will benefit your local area!

Final Decision Stage

  • Potentially an in-person event will take place in each Priority Neighbourhood and applicants will present their idea to the wider community who will vote on their preferred ideas.

  • Social media platforms such as Instagram or Tik Tok or an in-person event in the local schools could potentially take place to effectively engage with younger people and enable them to vote.

*Please note that the decision-making process will be dependent on the number and eligibility of the ideas that have been submitted and will therefore be subject to change.

In early March funding will be allocated based on the results of the Final Decision Stage from the relevant funder / funders.
