The Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund for Adults (funded by the Scottish Government) and UDECIDE (funded by Community Planning Aberdeen and the Fairer Aberdeen Fund) have teamed up to bring funding to Priority Neighbourhoods. This collaboration puts local people at the heart of decision-making, giving them the chance to choose which ideas will make a difference in their community.
This is community commissioning in action: you know what matters most in your area. This process gives residents, local groups, and organisations the chance to shape ideas and lead decisions on how funding is allocated. With support from one or both funders, these ideas can become reality!
As long as you are based within one of the priority neighbourhoods and your idea meets the criteria you can submit your idea for anything that will benefit your local area!

The aim of the event is for organisations to discuss their proposed ideas with others in the room and aim to find opportunities for collaboration where possible The Funders want to encourage residents and groups to collaborate to provide the best possible outcomes for their Priority Neighbourhood. Please note that an individual resident must partner with a group for their idea to be taking forward as the funds cannot be paid to an individual.
After the Event
With support from ACVO and Community Planning Aberdeen, groups can update and strengthen their proposals based on discussions and new collaborations
Final proposals guidance will be checked to ensure they meet the aims and priorities in the funding
Final Decision Stage
Providing the ideas meet all the criteria, the community will decide which projects receive the funding at a future session. In early March funding will be allocated based on the results of the final session
*Please note that the decision-making process will be dependent on the number and eligibility of the ideas that have been submitted and will therefore be subject to change.
